Visitors are invited to share in this experience at the George Wildlife Park as they can walk through the park, interact with the farm animals, and see the predators up close and personal in their individual enclosures.  The owner and staff take pride in offering all their resident animals the best possible care and respect while allowing the public onto the grounds.

At each enclosure, you will find information boards with valuable facts about each of the animals.  It is a very exciting and a big learning experience for children, especially children who live in cities where they are never exposed to seeing the Big Cats, watching Meerkats lounging around or seeing ducks making a ruckus to get to a piece of food first.

School visits are welcomed by the park and guided tours can be arranged for these visits.

On the predator side of the park, visitors will be blessed by the sight of their Cheetahs, Bengal Tigers, Servals, Caracals and their Lions.  Children will be able to watch, with big eyes, how the Bengal Tigers are playing in the water and having fun.

Want to watch how the Lions and other predators feast on their meals?  Be sure to be there between 13:00 and 14:00 daily.  Raw and real!

At the front of the park you can sit down and have a delicious meal or a cup of freshly brewed coffee.  From here you can keep a watchful eye on the children running around in the big play area for the children.

This is also the area where children can interact with the farm animals like chickens, bunnies, the dwarf goats, and piglets.  The children will definitely be on the geese’s radar when they offer them treats.  Feeding packets are available for sale at the George Wildlife Park shop.

Watching the Meerkats interacting with their friends or having a nap in the sun is such a treat!  They are so inquisitive, especially when they stand on their back feet looking round and about.

Whatever you do … don’t miss this wonderful opportunity to expose your children to our precious wildlife right here in the beautiful Garden Route.  They will surely be transformed by it!

    • Children (3-16 years): R50
